During the relentless investigation, Ralph is joined by the expertise of private investigator Holly Gibney. Her unique perspective and skills bring a fresh approach to the table. Together, they unravel an otherworldly force that may be the true perpetrator of the crime. This entity, known as El Cuco, derives sustenance from grief and pain, and has cunningly orchestrated events to frame Terry.
The season concludes with a nail-biting confrontation between Ralph, Holly, and El Cuco within a cave in Tennessee. Finally, they manage to vanquish the malevolent entity, exonerating Terry in the process.
