Three Body Universe and Yoozoo Group struck a deal with the famous streamer Netflix to produce an English adaptation of their books sometime in 2020. Almost two years, there is finally hope of seeing the series premiere. Netflix recently announced that the series filming is wrapped up, and it will only be a matter of time before it is here.
Based on a book of the same name by the famous Chinese author Lia Cixin, the series will explore a researcher involved in a conspiracy and, at the same time, also has to help the aliens. David Benioff and DB Weiss will adapt the series, and the two expressed that they look forward to adapting the most ambitious Sci-Fi series for our screens.
The Three Body Problem Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?
The series filming was initially set to start in November 2021 and go on for 12 months. Therefore, it is good news that the series filming wrapped up in September 2022, and currently, the filming is under post-production. The show will contain 24 episodes, each set for 60 mins. Since the episodes are a lot, the series’ post-production might take time, but we are optimistic it will be out soon. Expect to binge on Netflix Sci-Fi in 2023.
The Three Body Problem Season 1 Plot: What will happen?
The series plot is based on Liu Cixin’s novel of the same name. It follows Wang Miao, a Chinese physicist and nanomaterial researcher who gets caught up in a conspiracy after he has been directed to impinge on the Frontiers of Science group. The group’s members’ suicide rates have been low, attracting the attention of the state of intelligence.
Ye Wenjie, An astrophysicist that witnessed his father murder himself forty years ago, is taken to the labor camp but is later pulled out when they realize her scientific background. Since Wang is directed to look after his father’s death, the two slowly become friends, and she tells him about her work. Wang also gets himself in the Three Body game, which takes place in an alien world. As the game’s objective, he must use scientific methods to solve the creature’s misunderstanding of their world’s nature.
The Three Body Problem Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
Netflix announced the series casting in 2021, and it features characters that have also been featured in other shows. The series will feature two actors from Game of Thrones, Liam Cunningham (The Hot Zone) and John Bradley (Marry Me). Cunningham is famous for playing Davos Seaworth, the knight and famous Smuggler, while Bradley played Samwell Tarly, (Sam) the Grand Master.
Other casts include; Rosalind Chao, famous for her recurring role in Star Trek will be cast alongside Benedict Wong (What We Do in the Shadows), Tsai Chin, Jovan Adepo (The Stand), Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, and Alex Sharp (The Trial of Chicago).
The Three Body Problem Season 1 Trailer: When we watch it?
Netflix has already wrapped the filming series, but we have yet to receive the show’s official update. The show is set to be released in 2023, and since we only have two months till the year’s end, you can either expect to see the series trailer in 2022 or early next year.
