Taboo Season 1 Recap:
The thrilling first season of “Taboo” takes place in 1814 and centers around James Keziah Delaney, portrayed by the talented Tom Hardy, who miraculously returns to London after a decade of presumed death following a slave ship sinking.
Driven by a desire to settle scores, claim his rightful inheritance, and reunite with his beloved, Delaney’s character is far from one-dimensional; he exudes both a seething rage and calculating business acumen.
One of the standout moments occurs in the season finale when Delaney outwits the powerful East India Company and reveals the true value of Nootka Sound, a seemingly worthless plot of land he inherited from his father. The scene is a brilliant showcase of strategic planning that leaves audiences on the edge of their seats.
