Parish Season 1: Release Date, Cast, Plot, Trailer, And Other Information About It!

Bob Odenkirk and Giancarlo Esposito might have completed their role in the Better Call Saul series, but this does not mean that they are done in Hollywood. Before the two could catch a breather, AMC has two shows lined up for them; Odenkirk’s ‘The Straight Man‘  Series and Esposito, the ‘Parish’ show that will be released sometime in 2023.

The Parish series will only be featuring Esposito but also the Emmy winner Bradley Whitford (Handmaid’s Tale). The star has gained a recurring role in The Parish series, and you can already tell how big the Parish series will be. The upcoming series by Danny Brocklehurst (The Stranger) and Sunu Gonera explores the tales of a taxi driver whose life is about to undergo tremendous changes.

Parish Season 1 Release Date:

AMC is yet to give us a specific release date for the Parish series, but they included in the update that the series will be available for a 2023 release date. The series has been reimagined into an hour drama with six parts. Since the Parish show has been slated for a 2023 release date, we hope the show’s filming will start soon enough, if not in 2022, then in early 2023.

Parish Season 1 Plot:

The Parish series is a remake of the Driver series, and at the moment, it is not clear whether the Driver and Parish are two different series or the name got changed. The Parish series follows a taxi driver who gets caught up between two crime lords. Vince, the taxi driver, agrees to chauffer the Zimbabwean gangster based in New Orleans. The gangster, also known as the Horse, is famous for extorting immigrants at the southern ports of the Us.

The Horse soon enough comes into a disagreement with Anton, the cartel who heads a notorious criminal organization. With sharp wits and a charming personality, the police can’t suspect Anton’s illegal activities. When Anton goes to war with Horse, Vince, the taxi driver, gets caught in between, and he has to look for ways to get out safely.

Parish Season 1 Cast:

Bradley Whitford, the Emmy winner, plays Anton, the charming cartel leader who picks a fight with the Zimbabwean human trafficking lord. Whitford has featured in many series, including The Handmaid’s Tale, a role which has gotten him two nominations and an Emmy award. He is also expected to feature in the upcoming Rosaline show and the comedic version of Romeo and Juliet.

Other series featured in the Parish series include Zachary Momoh, playing The Horse, and Paula Malcolm’s son, who will be playing Rose. Skeet Ulrich (Riverdale) plays Colin, and Bonnie built as Shamiso Ivan Mbakop, Arica Himmel, Dax Rey, and Amanda Brugel.

The Parish series trailer is yet to be released, and the earliest you can expect a trailer or a teaser of the crime show is before 2023.
