Beacon 23 is an upcoming sci-fi series on Spectrum based on one of Hugh Howey’s novels. Written by Zak Penn, Beacon 23 will tell the story of two characters trapped in an abyss far from humanity.
The show’s first season is still in production, but Spectrum recently announced that they had renewed the series, and the second season production will start right after the first season’s production is done. Glen Mazzara and Joy Blake will take over as the new showrunners, and here is everything we know about the upcoming Beacon 23 second season.
Beacon 23 Season 2 Release Date: When will it appear?
We are yet to be updated on when the Beacon 23 season 2 will show, but we believe it will be somewhere in 2023. Spectrum recently revealed that the show’s second season is in progress despite the first season’s release date being unknown. Expect the second season of the show to be released before 2024.
Beacon 23 Season 2 Plot: What will happen?
The Beacon series is based on a novel by Zak Penn, set 23 years in the future. The series focuses on two characters, Aster and Halan, who work as beacon keepers. They are, however, trapped in the beacons that are situated further from any form of human existence.
To make it worse, the two are not even friends, as Halan prefers to be alone and suspects Aster is not to be trusted. Their tense relationship soon leads to a battle of wit and will where each one thrives on proving that they are better than the other.
So far, we do not have an exact plot that the Beacon 23 series will follow, and the series creator will continue the series based on how season one unfolds.
Beacon 23 Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?
Lena Headey (The White House Plumbers) was the first character to be cast in the Beacon 23 series, and she will play Aster. This is not the first time Headey has come to our screens, as she is famous for playing Cersei Lannister in the Game of Thrones series. The Spectrum revealed that Headey playing that role was not a coincidence as she is the only person they considered perfect enough to be playing the Aster role.
Headey’s opposite role will be played by Stephan James (Surface), famous for playing Jesse Owens in the “Race” series. So far, we have yet to receive the season two casting, but we know it will come just as soon as the first season’s trailer is out. We expect that the cast will make it to the end of the first season and reprise their roles.
Beacon 23 Season 2 Trailer: When will it be out?
The trailer for the second season of Beacon 23 is yet to be released, and it might take almost a year before it is out. The season one trailer is yet to be released, and we will have to wait for the first season’s trailer before we can binge on the second season.
