Girnar Hills
Girnar, also known as Girinagar or Revatak Pravata, is a group of mountains in the Junagadh District of Gujarat, India, situated near Junagadh.
Older than Himalayas Girnar, the mountain and its range are considered sacred and it’s an important pilgrimage site for both Jains and Hindus, who gather here during the Girnar Parikrama festival. Significantly famous among Shiva devotees for the mystic space-time of the mountain range with known presence and turnover of different sects of Sadhu Babas, Nath sect, different Jain Tirthankaras to Girnar, its typical flora and fauna, the famous Maha Shivratri fair, Girnar hosts a number of temples and some historical spots across its range. Amidst the lush green Gir Forest, the mountain range serves as the hub of religious activity.
Mysore Palace
Mysore is commonly described as the City of Palaces. There are about seven palaces inclusive of this; however, Mysore Palace refers specifically to the one within the Old Fort. Built by the Maharaja Rajarshi His Highness Krishnarajendra Wadiyar IV, Mysore Palace is now one of the most famous tourist attractions in India, after the Taj Mahal, and has more than 6 million visitors annually.
The palace is ten minutes from the city central railway station and from the suburb bus-stand; right behind city bus-stand, and twenty minutes (less four miles) from Mysore Airport. The domestic airport is directly connected to the international airports of Bangalore (Kempegowda International Airport), Chennai (Chennai International Airport), Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum International Airport), Hyderabad (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport), and Bombay (Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport). The city is connected through the state highway SH-17.
Nandi Hills
Nandi Hills or Nandidurg (Anglicised forms include Nandidrug and Nandydroog) is an ancient hill fortress in southern India, in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. It is 10 km from Chickballapur town and approximately 60 km from the city of Bengaluru. The hills are nestled near the town of Nandi. In traditional belief, the hills are the origin of the Arkavathy river.
The hills are now a popular tourist spot during summer. The state horticulture department maintains a garden for the tourists. The pressure of tourists on the environment here is great with a considerable problem of litter, noise and physical disturbance.
Cherai Beach
Cherai Beach is located in Kochi Taluk, Kerala, India. Cherai Beach is just 25 km from Kochi, and 30 km from Cochin International Airport. The nearest towns are North Paravur (6 km) and Kodungallur (10 km) and the nearest railway station is Aluva (20 km).

Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar, at 75.1 meters, is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and the second tallest minar in India after Fateh Burj at Mohali. Qutub Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it, form the Qutb Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site The tower is located in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. Made of red sandstone and marble, Qutub Minar is a 72.5-meter (237.8 feet) tall tapering tower with a diameter measuring 14.32 meters (47 feet) at the base and 2.75 meters (9 feet) at the peak. Inside the tower, a circular staircase with 379 steps leads to the top. Qutub Minar station is the closest station on the Delhi Metro.
Qutb Minar is surrounded by several historically significant monuments, which are historically connected with the tower and are part of the Qutub Complex. These include the Iron Pillar of Delhi, Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Alai Darwaza, the Tomb of Iltutmish, Alai Minar, Ala-ud-din’s Madrasa and Tomb, and the Tomb of Imam Zamin. Other minor monuments include Major Smith’s Cupola and Sanderson’s Sundial.
Lodi Garden
Lodhi Gardens is a city park situated in New Delhi, India. Spread over 90 acres (360,000 m2), it contains, Mohammed Shah’s Tomb, Tomb of Sikandar Lodi, Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad, architectural works of the 15th century by Lodhis- who ruled parts of northern India and Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of modern-day Pakistan, from 1451 to 1526. The site is now protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The gardens are situated between Khan Market and Safdarjung’s Tomb on Lodhi Road and is a hotspot for morning walks for the Delhiites.

Mandu Hills
Mandu is a ruined city in the Mandav area of the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is about 35 km from the Dhar city and about 100 km from Indore. It is about 80 km from Indore Airport and will take about 3 hours to reach by Taxi.
At an altitude of 2,000 feet, Mandu, with its natural defenses, was originally the fort capital of the Parmar rulers of Malwa. Towards the end of the 13th century, it came under the sway of the Sultans of Malwa, the first of whom named it Shadiabad – ‘city of joy’. It’s rulers built exquisite palaces like the Jahaz and Hindola Mahals, ornamental canals, baths and pavilions, as graceful and refined as those times of peace and plenty.Each of Mandu’s structures is an architectural marvel. That is not all about Mandu, there are numerous other attractions at this hill station like an old fort called Rani Rupmati Pavilion, Baaz Bahadur Palace, Nilkanth Temple etc.
Elephanta Falls
Elephanta Falls is situated at the outskirts of Shillong, the Capital city of the North-eastern Indian state of Meghalaya. Hilly road and around 12 kilometers away from Shillong. It is around 140 km from Guwahati Airport and will not take less than 4 hours to reach considering hilly roads.
The original Khasi name(Khasi is the local language of Meghalaya) of Elephanta Falls is -“Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohdiew” meaning ” Three steps of water”. Because there are 3 phases in Elepahnta Falls. The First phase is hidden behind trees and jungle and not very accessible. The second phase is also not very significant. The third phase is really magnificent and since this region has rain all through the year, it is always flowing with water but July-August is the best time to visit as it is monsoon here and the water gushes down with full force and the view is stunning. The Third phase is also the tallest and the grandest.
The name ‘Elephanta Falls’ was given by the British as there used to be huge rock in the Fall area resembling the shape of an elephant. However this rock was destroyed during the 1897 earthquake.
Babughat
Babughat is one of the many ghats built along the river bank of Hooghly along the Strand Road. The best time to visit is during the Durga Puja festival which happens around October in Kolkata. On the tenth day of the festival, the idols of Goddess Durga are brought to Babughat during late afternoon or evening and immersion rituals take place.
Take a flight to Kolkata, the capital of the eastern Indian state of West Bengal. From there you can hire a cab to go to Babughat. It is located along the banks of the Ganges river (local name Hooghly river) and is very near to the Eden Gardens stadium.
The place is taken over by photographers from the country as well from around the world during the 2-3 days when immersions take place. However one has to be careful about slipping on the muddy banks of the river.
A fast prime or telephoto with good low light capability should be good enough for taking snap during the rituals.
Sikandra
Sikandra is located in Agra about 15 kilometers from the Taj Mahal.From New Delhi Airport, it will be around 240 km via the Taj Express Highway and will take 4 hours by Taxi. It is a common destination for all who visit the great Taj Mahal.There is a nice garden where you will see deers grazing.
Sikandra was built in the beginning of the seventeenth century. The construction was started by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar and was completed by his son Jahangir. Sikandra was named after Sikandar lodi, the Delhi ruler who was in power from 1488 to 1517 but is most famous for and known as the final resting place of Akbar himself.
