The series’ plot revolves around Jake and Asha. Jake is a divorced man with a 21-year-old daughter who has already given up on finding love. He then meets Asha, but soon enough, he realizes that Asha is royalty and is from a very rich family. On the other hand, Jake is a plumbing contractor from a middle-class society who cannot compete with the wealthy Asha Family.
Since he is in love with Asha, Jake has to meet with the parents to ask for her hand in marriage. However, he realizes that getting Asha to marry him will be more challenging than he thought. With a loving father and an overprotective dad, Jake has to prove that he has all it takes to marry their daughter.

Chris Sullivan had been chosen as the lead star of the upcoming show, and he was expected to play Jake. The actor is famous for his role as Toby Damon in This is us. The actor won many accolades for starring as Toby, including the Screen Actors Guild Award.
Another cast that had been chosen to play the female protagonist led role is Reema Sampat. She would play as Asha, optimistic architecture lucky to be born into an affluent family. She is also Jake’s girlfriend, and the two live together. Sampat has also been featured in other shows, including Marvel’s Jessica Jones, a Netflix show, Shades of Blue (NBC), The Man Behind the Camera, etc. Meera Simhan and Anupam Ker were also supposed to play the role of Asha’s parents.
