Ryan O’Connell’s comedic series has been renewed for a second season. The inspiring series about a gay disabled man. It is based on the biography by Ryan O’Connell, titled “I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves”. This wonderful story has won the show an Emmy nomination. The show has received positive feedback from fans and critics worldwide. Rotten Tomatoes delivered a 95% rating based on 22 reviewers, while Metacritic gave a score of 66% from 9 critics. Audiences all over the world will surely be ecstatic for the news of the renewal of the show and can’t wait to see what is in store.
Special Season 2 Release Date: When will it air?
The release date for the second season of the TV show is unconfirmed, as Netflix is yet to announce an air date for the series. Although the show was renewed in December 2019, scriptwriting was in process in January 2020. The introduction of the global lockdown resulted in production been stopped. Since restrictions are being relaxed and productions starting up, it is believed that a release date will soon be announced. The latest prediction for the release date will be most likely in 2021.
Special Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?
The cast makes up for the second season is not yet out. However, we expect the main cast of the first season to be returned.
Ryan O’Connell, the show creator, and the star will, of course, surely return as Ryan Hayes, an intern working at a company called Eggwoke. Also to be present will be co-star Jessica Hecht, playing the role of Ryan’s mother. Punam Patel will also be coming in the second season, continuing in his role as Kim Laghari, Ryan’s friend and co-worker.
Other possible cast members include Patrick Fabian (Better Call Saul), Augustus Prew (Pure Genius), Marla Mindelle (You Must Be Joking), and many other guest actors.
Special Season 2 Plot: What will happen?
The upcoming plot for the second season has not been published, and this may not be available until the air date is very close. In the first season, we saw Ryan leave his home and told his friends and colleagues that he had cerebral palsy. Starting life all together anew, he had a scuffle with his protective and overbearing mother, which made him walk away. In the coming season, we hope Karen and Ryan reconcile, and both live they are proud of. Hopefully, the second season will be a half-hour-long episodes as announced by Ryan O’Connell.
