Rookie Skylar Thompson Will Officially Make his Start, As Per Dolphins
Rookie Skylar Thompson (25 years old) will officially make his 3rd career start during Sunday’s wild-card playoff game for the Miami Dolphins against the Buffalo Bills.
Miami coach Mike McDaniel confirmed the news on Friday during his news conference. He added that veteran Teddy Bridgewater (30 years old) had worked hard to make himself available in a backup position for the coming Sunday match.
Starter Tua Tagovailoa (24 years old) remains out of the matches after he suffered his 2nd concussion of the season in the game on 25th December against the Green Bay Packers. Whereas Teddy dislocated the finger the following week, paving the way for Skylar to start the team’s regular-season finale game against the New York Jets.
When interviewed, Skylar said that it is his goal to be a starter, though things can be changed anytime, and he wants to enjoy this opportunity.
The dolphins and Bills split their regular-season series by winning each at home. In week 15, the Dolphins scored 188 yards against the Bills.
Running back Raheem Mostert (30 years) has also been ruled out for Sunday’s affair after he suffered a broken thumb in last week’s win over the Jets. Further, Offensive tackle Terron Armstead is listed as also questionable.
