SAM productions produce this series in Norwegian and English language. The story highlights the fight against the local Jutul family of Norway by a teenage boy named Magne. His enormous efforts to save his planet from the wealthiest industrialists like these families makes the story more interesting to watch.

When will Ragnarok Season 3 Released on Netflix?

As previously stated, Ragnarok has been renewed for season 3, so we’ll ultimately get a response to the cliffhanger conclusion. However, we are still expecting Netflix to confirm a release date.

The cast of the series also shared the happy news on YouTube, writing: “Hello lovely people! I have some positive news. You prepared? We’ve been given the go-ahead for season 3.”

However, when they announced that season 3 would be the last season, our Norse family also dealt a painful blow. The grieving process must start because actor Jonas Strand Gravli announced that this season 3 of Laurits would be the final one.

According to the official Ragnarok Netflix Instagram feed, production has already begun as of April 2022.

The first season premiered in January 2020, nearly 18 months later for the second season in May 2021.

When Ragnarok makes its long-awaited return, season 3 will most probably include six episodes, as did the two seasons before it.

Netflix has not yet determined the exact release date. The third season, however, is anticipated to debut at the end of this year or in the first few weeks of 2023.

The Star Cast of Ragnarok Season 3:

According to some internet speculations, the same star cast of Season 2 will reprise their role in Season 3 and some new entries that aren’t revealed yet.

So, the expected cast of Season 3 will be:

  • David Stakston, in the role of Magne.
  • Jonas Strand Gravli as in the role of Laurits.
  • Theresa Frostad Eggesbo, in the role of Saxa.
  • Henriette Steenstrup as in the role of Turid.
  • Herman Tommeraas as in the role of Fjor.
  • Emma Bones as in the role of Gry.
  • Synnove Macody Lund as in the role of Ran.

Expected Plot of Ragnarok Season 3:

As we watched in season 1, our protagonists, Magne, and Vidar are brutally involved in conflicts and strategies over each other. At the end of season 1, Magne succeeds in running away Fjor and Gry from Vidar’s terror. Later on, he summoned a thunderbolt from the sky that stroked Vidar and might take his life. Hence it is not clarified in season 1 whether Vidar is still alive or not.

So, the expected plot of its second installation is that Vidar’s main villain might return in season 2. To take his revenge on Magne even more brutally and another brutal battle with the remaining giants.

Magne unleashed some righteous storms and lightning on Fjor and Ran’s car in the season 2 finale. Sadly, the two Jutuls survived to battle another day.

In addition to continuing to follow Magne’s conflict with the Jutuls, season three will also heavily emphasize Laurits’ ancestry. Will he support the giants or the gods? Or maybe even nobody? The solution to this question could figuratively usher in the long-foretold end of the world as described in the Norse myths.

The Storyline of Ragnarok Season 3:

Ragnarök Season 2 Storyline

Ragnarok’s story is all about the plague caused by industrial pollution and climatic changes that occurred by the renowned factories of the city-owned by some wealthiest families. Jutuls is one of them, which is the fifth most affluent family of Norway. When the protagonist of the story, Magne, who is an embodiment of thor, noticed Norway’s situation, took the oath to save his planet from such people.

So, the fight occurred between the giants of Jutuls, and Magne was the limelight of season 2. So, we can expect a more exciting battle in Season 3 and the more brutal nature of the villain Vidar, who most probably seems to be dead in last season. Still, the possibility of his aliveness is supposed to be much higher in season 3.
