Netflix is producing the Julia Quinn novel series Bridgerton. It will be created by Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal producers Shonda Rhimes and Chris Van Dusen. The series has been under work since July 2018, where it was announced by Netflix the best selling novel will be produced by Shonda Rhimes. Fans are eagerly awaiting the TV show, with most expressing trust in Shonda Rhimes in delivering a blockbuster series. The show has its own Twitter and Instagram accounts created, which has over 15,000 followers each as at the time of writing this piece.
The novel series tells the Bridgerton family’s story, a well-respected family in British society, consisting of a widow and eight children. Each novel in the series follows each kid’s story and their journey in finding the love of their life and fall in love.
Bridgerton Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?
The period drama will premiere on the Netflix platform on Christmas Day, the 25th December 2020. It is expected to be an eight episodes series of hour-long unadulterated entertainment.

Bridgerton Season 1 Cast: Who will be a part of it?
Most likely, the TV series follows the novel series. Therefore the first season will follow Daphne Bridgerton. The cast of the series include
- Phoebe Dynevor stars as the protagonist, Daphne Bridgerton.
- Regé-Jean Page plays the role of Simon Basset.
- Ruth Gemmell stars as the matriarch of the household, Lady Violet.
- Jonathan Bailey plays eldest child Anthony,

Bridgerton Season 1 Plot: What will happen next?
The TV show is a romantic and scandal-filled series set in the 19th century. It examines family bonds and the travails of falling in love in that era.
As earlier mentioned, the first season of the series will follow the sequence of the first novel. Daphne Bridgerton will enter the marriage mart; here, she will meet the Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett. In the novel, The Duke and I, Duke Simon and his best friend sister, Daphne, hatch a marriage plan to keep him free from the marriage focused society they both reside.
