Netflix April Slate is surely interested in natural documentaries for everyone, from western dramas to superheroic comedies. It is time to look forward to all of Netflix’s new TV shows, documentaries, and films next month, with May right around the corner. Next month, there is a tonne of originals made by Netflix, including Selena’s highly anticipated follow-up Jupiter’s Legacy is shown in the series and the new superhero and many more interesting movies and series.

Having taken the latest series and movies arriving in May 2021, here are our top ten favorites. As always, they are all part of your membership in Netflix Originals.

Army of the Dead is a forthcoming American zombie heist movie co-directed and co-written in the stories of Snyder by Zack Snyder, co-written by Shay Hatten and Joby Harold. This story is about a group of mercenaries who track down a heist during an outbreak of zombies at a casino in Las Vegas. In March 2007, it was initially announced. Entertainment was part of the Universal Studios and Warner Bros. to co-produce the project. Netflix acquired the distribution rights of the project from Warner Bros. With Zack Snyder directing, by January 2019, following years in development furiously, and now it will be released on May 21, 2021. 

9. Jungle Beat: The Movie (2021)—Netflix Original

Jungle Beat: This film is a 2020 Mauritian film based on the television series Jungle Beat, directed by Brent Dawes. This film premiered at the Annecy Film Festival in 2020. Netflix, except Mauritius, has acquired the worldwide rights to distribute the movie and is scheduled for streaming on May 14, 2021. One morning, the jungle animals wake up to find out that they can talk. You are even more surprised if you learn the reason: an alien is in the jungle. Little Fneep came to conquer the Earth, bringing him a crazy tech, including a first talkable translation device. Unfortunately, Fneep is a terrible conqueror for the intergalactic Caledonian empire and luckily for the jungle. He’s the householder who crashed his ship, and the antiquities of Munki and Trunk and the gang are not his match. Our heroes will not allow the conquest of a little alien to be a good time or a new friend.

8. Hoarders (Season 11)

Hoarders is a television series of American reality that debuted on August 17, 2009, at A&E. The show presents the real lives of people suffering from compulsory storage disorder and their treatment. After six seasons, the series closed on February 4, 2013. Lifetime began broadcasting a series of weekly “Update” episodes on June 2, 2014, over one year after the original program cancellation in 2013. Each broadcast presents an earlier episode which ends today with a visit of the therapist or organizer who worked with him to a featured hoarder. Interviews with the hoarder and his family reveal the progress of their life since they first appeared.

Jupiter’s Legacy is a new US SuperHero TV series created by Steven DeKnight based on Mark Millar (The King’s Man) and Frank Quitely’s Comic book series, released on Netflix on May 7, 2021. The legacy of Jupiter follows the story of the world’s first superheroes in the 1930s. They are the revered Elder Ward, but their superpowered children struggle to accommodate their parents’ legendary achievements. On July 17, 2018, it was declared that Netflix had placed an eight-episode first season series order for the production. This was developed in conjunction with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Dan McDermott by Steven S. DeKnight as a managing director.

Baggio: Roberto Baggio will be released on May 26, 2021, as Divine Ponytail, the documentary by Netflix on one of the greatest Italian footballers. Roberto Baggio is widely regarded as one of his generation’s greatest football players in Italy. For his unique hairstyle, Baggio has had a controversial career, also known as the Divine Ponytail. And his performances on the field were influenced by controversies. Despite the arguments, his curling freekicks and dribbling skills have won him a reputation, besides his wild instincts. He has now all documented his career by Netflix. Baggio: The Divine Ponytail is now a released documentary about his life, and the trailer is already out. One of the central highlights of the documentary is that, apart from his conflicts with various trainers, he moved from Fiorentina to Juventus.

Special is an American TV-Stream comedy that premiered on April 12, 2019, on Netflix. The series is based on Ryan O’Connell’s (2014), who also writes, stars and executives, a memoir I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourself. In December 2019, the series was renovated on May 20, 2021, for the second and final season. The Special season 2 features a distinguishing and uplifting new series about Ryan, a gay man of mild brain paralysis who chooses to re-write his identity and finally go after his life. The approval rating of the series is 95 percent, with a mean 7.29/10 based on 22 reviews for review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Selena’s first official trailer for the second part is here to prepare for more iconic fashion in the 1990s, as Selena begins her solo career as a singer, crossover artist, and designer. We’ll see her last moment before her death and how Yolanda Saldívar, the president of the fan club and later the assassin, joined the mix. The series seemed to have ended as we expected. Selena’s relationship with Chris was accidentally revealed as they toured Abraham, as depicted in Selena: The Series season 1. Abraham kicks her out and tells Selena that she cannot be at his side and that at a truck stop, they leave him behind. Naturally, if you know Selena’s true story, you know that she and Chris get married, and he finally joins the band again. Not only that but Yolanda already was introduced in the first section of the show, which means we’ll see more of what she got into the family and killed Selena because her fan club was missing money.

The Woman in the Window is a psychologically active film by Joe Wright, based on the same-named 2018 novel by pseudonymous author A. J. Finn. This film is an American psychological thriller. Netflix is scheduled to release Woman in the Windows digitally and be produced on May 14, 2021, in 20th-century studios. The movie was originally recorded for theatrical release by the 20th Century on October 4, 2019, but was re-published after the test screenings by May 15, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the theatre release was later canceled and sold to Netflix. The story is about an agoraphobic psychological psychologist who has friends across the street from her brownstone condo in New York City to see his own life reversed when the Woman is gone.

Netflix’s latest hit show is a vindictive drama with a telenovela leaning over an underdog who takes over a powerful Mexican family. The crime thriller series Who Killed Sara? The show follows Alex Guzmán, played by Narcos’ Manolo Cardona, who had been wrongfully convicted of death as a young man for his sister Sara. After 18 years in prison, he was finally released and then tried to find answers about Sara’s death and take revenge on the mighty Lazcano family, whose responsibility is to believe in Sara’s death. By investigating Alex and re-examining Sara’s case in the summer, we learn that different members of the Lazcano family had reason to kill Sara and Alex followed them one by one in over ten episodes. As he enters the Lazcanos during the series, Alex and the audience finish with more questions than answers.

After its abrupt cancellation, Lucifer has now become one of Netflix’s largest Original Series. Since the third season, Netflix has been in production, with season 4 falling on May 8 and the latest time on August 21, 2020. We’ve been teased on all the titles and who’s written and directed long before Lucifer’s Season 5 Part 1 was released on Netflix. Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the devil, leaves Hell for Los Angeles and runs his nightclub named LUX, and becoming an LAPD consultant, revolves around this story. Lauren German, formerly Detective Close Decker and former Detective Daniel’  Dan’ Espinoza,’ Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin and, from season 2 on, Aimee Garcia and Ella López, for example, Detective Chloe Decker are part of the ensemble and supporting cast. Before the production was moved entirely to Los Angeles, California, the filming took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, starting in the third season.
