Netflix’s Original Fantasy drama Warrior Nun is officially coming back for season 2. Ben Dunn penned the drama was which has its basis on a comic book series by the same name. Interestingly, the production that carried out Game of Thrones is the same one doing Warrior Nun. The performance of the show on Netflix has been on top of the charts for a long while. In July 2020, it ranked the third biggest TV show on Netflix worldwide after Cursed and Dark Desire. Additionally, it peaked in the same month being the most popular television show in the world.
Warrior Nun series received a rating of 6.9/10 by IMDb. It ranked at number six in the United States and attained position two for the first weekend it was available, beaten out by Unsolved Mysteries. In the UK, the series ranked fourth and positioned one in Brazil, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

Is Warrior Nun Renewed For Season 3?
“Warrior Nun” will not receive a third season on Netflix, as has been decided. A little more than a month had passed since the second season of the fantasy action series debuted on Netflix on November. Simon Barry, who created the show, tweeted about the announcement to confirm it.
Warrior Nun Season 2 Plot : What to expect from it?
The first season ends on a climax with The Order of Cruciform Sword’s intention revealed. The purpose is nothing more than puppets for Adriel against Heaven’s forces. Ava reveals Adriel’s real identity after he makes contact with her. He was mistaken for an angel by the Order’s original knights after successfully killing a Tarask monster that followed him out of the demonic portal.
Adriel hides away in the tombs of the Vatican has hidden the halo inside the original Warrior Nun. He gains protection from Heaven by creating the Order. After Adriel escapes from the grave, he intends to recapture the halo from the Order and continue with his wicked plans. Despite her enthusiasm, Shotgun Mary gets overwhelmed by Adriel’s forces, leaving Ava together with her sisters to deal with Adriel’s small army of Wrath Demons.
In season 2 of the series, you will witness Ava and the Order bringing Adriel’s fight. After revealing his identity as the devil to the world, Heaven’s forces may descend on the Vatican and aid the Order. For the time being, Ava’s expertise as the Warrior Nun. However, it is growing, and she may be more than a match in a fight against Adriel and his demonic powers. Indeed, the existence of The Order of Cruciform Sword is based on a lie. The challenge is on Ava and her remaining sisters to bring its new meaning.
More so, there is the issue of Father Vincent’s betrayal, which leads to the demise of Sister Shannon. Punishment must ensue, but this is a difficult decision as he also happens to be the girls’ mentor.
Warrior Nun Season 2 Release Date : When it is going to air?
Season one’s filming took place between March 11th and July 5th, 2019. Regrettably, the next season may take quite a while before its release. This prediction follows the current Pandemic situation that seems to paralyze production worldwide. The series filming took place in Spain, so you expect the next season to come sooner. If you are in any luck, the next installment may return on the screens in the third or fourth quarter of 2021, provided the filming begins in 2020.
On November 10th, 2022, Warrior Nun season 2 was released. The streamer posted a promotional video on social media in 2020, soon after the first episodes of season 1 debuted on our televisions, to announce the good news of the renewal. November 2021 marked the official end of season 2 production.
