The Good Mother is a newly released gripping crime drama that has captivated audiences worldwide. The show is based on the real-life accounts of three courageous women inside the notorious Calabrian ” ‘Ndrangheta mafia,” The show follows the struggles it took to take down the mighty empire. Directed by Julian Jarrold and Elissa Amoruso, the series is adapted from a novel of the same name by Alex Perry. The Good Mothers Season 2 Release Date: When will it air?
As of April 2023, there is no specific release date for the second season of The Good Mothers. The series was released on the 21st of February on Disney. We are yet to receive any renewal updates from the series creators. If the series gets renewed, then a high chance is that it will have six episodes, just like the first season. If filming begins early enough, we may see the second season before the year ends or early next year. If it does not, a second season will be out either in 2024 or 2025.
The Good Mothers Season 2 Plot: What will Happen?
The show takes place in 2010 and starts with the sudden vanishing of Lea Garofalo, a woman who had decided that enough is enough and she must break ties with the ‘Ndrangheta mafia”. She was to pull off alongside her daughter Denise, but this never came to fruition. In Calabria, a public prosecutor named Anna Colace is dedicated to fighting the gang and developing a new strategy to wipe out the infamous gang. Her strategy involves encouraging female members to collaborate, undermining the gang’s authority from within. The approach places women in power and authority and calls them to betray their own families for the promise of a better tomorrow for themselves and their children.
The Good Mothers Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?
Gaia Grace portrays Denise Cosco, the daughter of Lea Garofalo, who disappears after planning her exit from the gang. Valentin Belle plays Giuseppina Pesce, and Barbara Chchiarelli as Anna Colace, the matriarchal figure in ending the infamous gang. As of April, we are unsure of the season two casting and the casts reprising their roles. We, however, hope that all of the season one cast will be back for the second season, and we may get to see new faces.

According to Decider, The Good Mothers is worth streaming as it sets up a compelling story about the untold faction of the ‘Ndrangheta families that bravely stood up to bring the group down.
