The comedy-drama series has been renewed for a second season. The series is a Netflix’s repeat of the 1990 HBO series of the same name. The first season of the TV show was released in July 2020. The show was released to a resounding success, where critics rated the show 100% based on 38 reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes, while Metacritic delivered an 87% rating from 18 critics. We are glad to inform you that the series has been renewed for a second season in the last week.
The show is based on a novel series of the same name; The Baby Sitter Club sometimes called BSC, written by Ann M. Martin. The novel was published by Scholastic between the year 1986 to the year 2000 period. During this time, the novel series published over one hundred and twenty-two (122) novels.
Is there going to be a third season of The Baby-Sitters Club?
Netflix has unfortunately decided to terminate the tween series. Friday, March 11th, the news was released. The Baby-Sitters Club’s performance on the streaming channel, as per Deadline, was most certainly a factor in the decision.
On the other hand, the series has received good ratings, with both seasons receiving a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, so its termination will come as a shock to viewers. Netflix has marketed itself as a one-stop-shop for people of all ages, but its preteen shows don’t appear to be surviving the axe.
Netflix has cancelled The Baby-Sitters Club, the third popular and profitable series aimed at tweens and younger adolescents. In 2019, the first was Anne with an E. The series’s viewers fought hard to have the cancelation overturned. Fans of Julie and the Phantoms, which had been in uncertainty for almost a year until its termination in 2021, can say the same thing.
