The DC Universe is the home to the world’s greatest superheroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman and DC Universe came with a new supergirl Stargirl. It is a fictional character appearing in American comic books by DC Comics.
Geoff John created an American Superhero TV series, Stargirl, first launched on DC Universe on May 18, 2020. This series also premiered on The CW, and consisting of 13 episodes. The CW renewed its second season in July 2020 and was planned to air in 2021.
Stargirl has been renewed for a third season, with a major change. Instead of airing first on the DC Universe, now releasing season 3 on The CW. While we’re waiting to learn more about this change, we are here to share everything about season 3.
Is Stargirl Canceled After Season 3?
After its third season, the Brec Bassinger-led DC Comics series will be finished. Since The CW and its new owner Nexstar have been cutting production on other shows aimed at young audiences, the cancellation has been rumoured for a while.
Stargirl Season 3 Release Date: When will it premiere?
The third season of Stargirl, picked up by The CW in May 2021 for nine episodes, will premiere on Wednesday, August 31, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The season will be accessible after its initial airing on The CW on the CW app or website, along with the previous seasons. Depending on their location and membership options, fans of HBO Max can watch all of Stargirl’s prior seasons and new episodes.
Stargirl Season 3 Cast: Who will come back in series?
It is uncertain about the cast of the upcoming season. But it’s easy to assume that most of the main cast who performed at season 2 finale will return for season three, including:
- Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore, A high school student, the Cosmic Staff, and becomes the supergirl Stargirl.

- Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Courtney’s mother, and Pat Dugan’s wife.
- Trae Romano plays the role of Mike Dugan, Pat Dugan’s son, and Stargirl’s step-brother.
- Meg DeLacy plays a character of Cindy Burman, daughter of the Dragon King and the girlfriend of Henry King Jr.
- Hunter Sansone as Cameron Mahkent, son of Jordan Mahkent.
As we all see that most of the villains have been defeated at the finale of last season, it is predicted that the second season will concentrate more on another generation of villains.
Stargirl Season 3 Storyline: What is it all about?
The superhero series circles around the story of a teenage girl Courtney Whitmore, who quest for identity as she adopts a long-neglected legacy of bravery and becomes an inspiration for a whole new generation of superheroes from the Justice Society of America.
