This series came to live in 2003 with the very first franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. This was more like a game card for Disney as it became the first in-house action blockbuster ever produced by Disney. After facing some laid backs in their productions, Disney has decided to bring back everyone’s old-time favorite. The production of two different reboots has been reported to be on full swing.
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Reboot : Why Disney is rebooting the franchise?
It’s no secret that in 2003 Disney released their first in-house action blockbuster, Pirates of the Caribbean. This movie gained a lot of positive reviews and $654 million at the worldwide box office on release. With over five Oscar nominations, this movie was indeed a game-changer for Disney. This led to Disney’s investment in making more sequels. Although the first four sequels had first outgrossed the first work, they lacked the first movie’s creative height and originality.
The present two different reboots have been reported to be more of a twist with a varying plot and neither a direct continuation of the previously released sequels. The new reboots would be a fresh start for the Pirate series and have been reported to have a new plot and fresh faces onset and a revamp of the original female power fantasy ideology.
The film’s producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, has officially confirmed “Pirates of the Caribbean 6.” So there you have it. Jerry Bruckheimer, the Pirates films’ producer, has revealed the sixth season of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise.
What led to the sinking of the last four sequels?
After the production of the first two sequels, Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End, these franchises under-grossed the first work as the characters faced some modifications. With two leads gone out of three, this production received a lot of negative reactions. The protagonist was a weak character, while the villains and heroes weren’t even as remarkable and exceptional as the first.
Despite all the negativity, Disney released another sequel, Dead Men Tell No Tales, by featuring characters that somehow led traces to the original characters by casting Henry as Will and Elizabeth’s son. This did not improve the viewer’s response but only increased the negativity as the plot was now said to lack humor and the flexibility of the original. Though this sequel brought back the female power fantasy, it also made it impossible to ignore the series anchor, Jack Sparrow.
Pirate of the Caribbean 6 Plot :
With all the negativity around the previous series, a new sequel release may sound crazy to you but not to Disney. Hints have been let out that this new series would be shorting off a lot of old faces, including Jack Sparrow. This decision received a lot of negative outburst from viewers who weren’t in support of a new sequel without their all-time favorite. This series’s future is presently unpredictable at the moment as no one knows what to expect in this new sequel.
Would Jack Sparrow be replaced? Would he be the leader of this new series? Or would he just become a minor cast?
We just have to wait for Pirate of the Caribbean 6 to get our answers.
