Las Azules is an upcoming Apple Tv+ series from Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi. The upcoming Spanish series will consist of ten episodes, each telling the story of the females in the Mexican police department who decides to make a positive change that their male counterparts didn’t.
Rovzar is a renowned writer and director and has worked on other shows, including Mexico’s Most Wanted and Ceremony. Aramendi, the co-creator, has also written several other shows, including Los Hombres de Paco, The Boarding School, and Algo que celebrar.
Las Azules Season 1 Release Date: When will it premiere?
Unfortunately, there is no specific release date for the upcoming series, and we have yet to determine just how soon the show will be available. The series announcement came in 2022, and by May 2022, filming had already started in Mexico. Updates on when the series filming will wrap up are still unknown, but if it already has, you should expect the series to be released this year. If filming is yet to wrap up, you should expect to binge on the crime drama in 2024.
Las Azules Season 1 Plot: What will happen?
The Las Azules series is based on the life stories of the four women who decide to venture into a male-dominated profession. Maria, a devoted wife, joins the Mexican police force to solve some cases of serial killers that were never solved. She gathers three other women, and together they hatch a plan to catch the serial killers. The series is set in the 1970s and could further explore the opposition the four women faced when they first started the squad. It could also explore the motive behind the serial killers’ prey.

Fernando Rovzar serves as the series showrunner and executive producer alongside Wendy Riss, Eric Sanchez, and Billy Rovzar. The upcoming series mainly revolves around women who advocate for change in the police force. Barbara Mori stars as Maria, the female cop obsessed with catching the series serial killers and putting them behind bars.
The actress is both producer and writer and has starred in several series, including Rubi, where she played the lead character, My Brothers wife, Violanchelo, Insignificant Things, and Guillermo. She will be casting alongside Gabina, a passionate police officer, Angeles, a fingerprint analyst, and Valentina, the young rebellious secret agent.
So far, Barbara is the only cast to be announced, but we hope that Apple TV and the series creators will provide more updates as the series progresses.

The trailer for the series is yet to be released, and currently, we do not know just how soon the series trailer will be available. The series announcement came out in 2022, and we have not received updates on whether filming started or the series production status. If filming begins this year, then you should expect the series trailer to be released either before the year ends or in early 2024.
