Krapopolis Season 1 Plot: What Will You See in the Series?

The animated comedy by Dan Harmon takes place in the mythical world of Ancient Greece. The show revolves around a quirky family consisting of humans, gods, and monsters, all attempting to govern one of the world’s earliest cities without causing chaos and harm to one another. The young human king named Tyrannis governs a city alongside his peculiar family.

Throughout the episodes, Tyrannis encounters various Greek mythological figures presenting situations as extraordinary as the folklore tales surrounding them. Harmon emphasizes that the series won’t merely retell events but revisits certain characters or elements, fostering interactions with the show’s original ensemble.

Krapopolis Season 1 Cast: Who Can Be In It?

Dan Harmon has a knack for assembling impressive casts, and Krapopolis is no exception. Richard Ayoade stars as Tyrannis, the mortal king running the city in Ancient Greece. His mother, Deliria, an alcoholic goddess, is voiced by Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), and his father, the “minotaur” Shlub, is voiced by Matt Berry (What We Do In The Shadows). Deliria hints at their chaotic family dynamic in the sneak peek, while Shlub is an artist who avoids paying for anything.

The first clip also introduces Hippocampus, voiced by Duncan Trussell, a curious hybrid fish-human, and Stupendous, a powerful warrior played by Pam Murphy, the offspring of Shlub and a mermaid. The show will also include guest stars Susan Sarandon, Will Forte (On Record/Bodkin), Michael Urie (Shrinking), Jane Lynch (The Weakest Link), and Amber Stevens West (Run The World). Yvette Nicole Brown (My Dad The Bounty Hunter), Dave Franco, Stephanie Beatriz (Twisted Metal), Daveed Diggs, Joel McHale (Strange Planet Project), Tom Kenny, and Ben Stiller add to the show’s brilliance.

Krapopolis Season 1 Trailer: What is It About?

While the series was initially showcased at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it doesn’t boast a conventional trailer. Instead, an exciting sneak peek was unveiled, offering a glimpse into a captivating scene from the forthcoming first episode. In this sneak peek, we witness Tyrannis engaged in a city meeting, grappling with a matter involving a Medusa figure turning innocent citizens into stone. The brief snippet showcases the intriguing family dynamics as Tyrannis navigates the situation, but not without encountering some disastrous outcomes.
