Don Harmon, the brains behind the Community series, is returning to screens with a new Series ordered on Apple. The upcoming Series will be an adaptation of the Strange Planet web-comic by Nathan Pyle, the New York Times Bestselling author.
The animated shows have been given straight-to-order Series, and you should expect to binge on 10 episodes of the show once it is released. Strange Planet Project Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?
Unfortunately, there is no official date for the series to be released, and so far, we have yet to determine how soon the Series will be available. Animated tv series production schedules are highly unpredictable as they can run longer than expected. The show was announced in 2021 and is expected to launch in 2022. Now that 2022 is over, we can expect to see the series trailer either this year or next. The approximate time to expect the series release is in 2024.
Strange Planet Project Season 1 Plot: What should we expect?
The plot does not provide much information on what to expect from the Strange Planet series. Since the series is an adaptation of an earlier work, it could take a lot of separate comics of the web-comic series or use it just as a reference. They could also use the web-comics to make standalone episodes and create an anthology.
The shows could recreate the adaptation to form a narrative and progressing story with a continuous plot. Two years after the series announcement, Apple has yet to update us on who will star in the Strange Planet show. Harmon already serves as both creator and co-executive producer alongside Nathan Pyle, the series web-comic author. It is possible that Harmon could also use some of the actors and actresses featured in Community, his series that premiered on Netflix.
The upcoming series could include actors like Joel McHale, Donald Glover, and Gillian Jacobs, who will be a good fit for the show. McHale portrayed Jeff Winger, the sadist with stereotypical serial killer traits who changes for the better. This will, however, be updated in time, just before the Series is released or maybe before filming starts.

A trailer for the upcoming Series is yet to be released, and we do not know just how soon the series trailer will be available. The series announcement came in 2021, and till now, there is no news of whether filming started and how soon we should expect the show’s first season. If filming begins early enough, you should expect the show’s trailer to be released before the year ends or early next year.
