Sky Atlantic once again presented a record-breaking show which glued the viewers to their screens. After the groundbreaking release of Chernobyl, Sky Atlantic landed another masterpiece, “Gangs of London.” Gangs of London became the second most-watched show on Sky Atlantic, Chernobyl is still the first. Gangs of London‘s opening episode had 2.23 million views, which shows how much the audience loves it. When it comes to critics, Gangs of London is rated 8.2 on IMDB, and it scored 85% on Tomatometer. These numbers are enough to make people watch the show.

We have to admit that we like to watch stuff related to action, crime, and drama, which is why many people binge-watched the whole show in one go on 23rd April 2020. And after sweeping it in one shot, they started to regret it because there is no second season yet. So, will there be a second season? What will the story be about? We will give all your answers in this guide!

Gangs of London Season 2 Release Date: When will it be out?

Yes, we do! After the groundbreaking release and positive response from everywhere, Sky Atlantic announced the renewal of the show. It was announced on 24th June 2020, just after one month of its release! Following the show’s massive success, AMC jumped in, and it has joined Sky Atlantic for the second season; AMC will broadcast both seasons in the United States.

It is not a surprise though, because it is one of the most Binge watched series of the year, and it left an opening for a second season. Zai Bennett, Managing Director Of Content of Sky Atlantic UK, stated that the team is thrilled for the second season!

We have no confirmation on the premiere date of the second season. But the shooting of season 2 started in June 2021. The martial arts movie director Gareth Evans (director) said that it took them three years to deliver this masterpiece. He also mentioned that these are unprecedented times, and he cannot be sure how much time exactly it is gonna take.

Gangs of London season 2 has confirmed its new directing trio: Corin Hardy, Marcela Said, and Nima Nourizadeh. However, Hardy directed four episodes of Gangs of London season 1. If you ask our opinion, we would suggest you not expect a new season before 2022.

Gangs of London Season 2 Cast: Who will be in?

Now let us clarify first that there is no official announcement of the cast of season 2. However, we are expecting the return of Elliot Finch as Sope Dirisu. Michelle Fairley will also be back as Sean’s mother named Marian Wallace. Pippa Bennett, Paapa Essiedu, and Luchian Masamati will again return as Shannon Dumani, Alex Dumani, and Ed Dumani, respectively. One thing that is highly likely to happen in season two is the entry of a new antagonist as the body count will elevate in season 2.

When it comes to the question about Sean’s death, Eliot did shoot Sean. However, there are some fan theories that Sean might be alive as Elliot shot him in the cheek, not on the head. We are just gonna have to wait to find the answer.
