Today, a K-pop boy band EXO member, Chanyeol, will officially enlist to fulfill mandatory military duties.
As per SM entertainment, he will join a boot camp to get basic military training for four weeks to serve in the Army. Moreover, his agency did not give all details of his enlistment venue and schedule.
Park Chanyeol is the fifth member of the EXO band who enlisted in the army as an active soldier. Xiumin and D.O. have already finished their military training and were officially out of the army, whereas Suho and Chen began their compulsory military training last year.
There is a rule in South Korea. All capable South Korean men must serve in the military for approximately 18 months upon their enlistment.
In 2012, the rapper started as an EXO member and got popularity and fame worldwide with his several blockbuster songs, such as “Growl,” “Call Me Baby,” and “Love Shot.” He has also taken part in the band’s hip-hop project EXO-SC and made an acting career.
Additionally, Chanyeol encountered cheating allegations in October after an issue raised online by a girl who claimed to be his ex-girlfriend.
Chanyeol wrote an apology last month to a fan community, stating that he would consider how he could reimburse the support and appreciation of his fans.
Last week, Chanyeol’s film ‘The Box’ was initially released in South Korea on 24th March. The movie will premiere in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia in April. Then it will hit the theaters in the US, Australia, Vietnam, and Japan.
This movie revolves around an aspiring singer, Ji Hoon, who isn’t able to perform among the audience. Once he met with a producer, Min Soon, a famous name in the music industry, both will start a new journey of self-realization, fulfill their dreams, and explore what they expect from their lives. Features the several popular songs of famous artists, including Chanyeol, Billie Eilish, Coldplay. Also, it becomes the number one box movie.
