In his senior year, Deebo led his school team to the AAA playoffs semifinals. In high school, he recorded 166 catches for 2,751 yards and 36 touchdowns; Deebo rushed 133 times for 898 yards and 13 touchdowns. He finished with 53 career touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and 94 tackles. He played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas and was honored with the AAA Offensive Player of the Year award (the High School Sports Report Class). 

College career:

In 2014, Deebo started college football at the University of South Carolina. Further, in 5 games total, he started in 3 games and also struggled with injuries. He finished the 2015 season with 12 receptions for 161 yards. In his sophomore season, Deebo led the team with 59 receptions for 783 yards; in addition, he rushed 15 times for 98 yards and 6 touchdowns in 10 games. Then he had 14 receptions for 190 receiving yards in the Birmingham Bowl against USF.

During the 2017 season, Deebo suffered an injury, and he finished the season by playing only 3 full games. However, he recorded 250 yards receiving for 3 touchdowns, 2 carries for 30 yards and 1 touchdown, and 2 kickoff returns for 2 touchdowns for a combined 194 yards.

In 2021, Deebo, during Week 8, caught 6 catches for 171 yards in a 33–22 win, earning him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
