Crime Scene Documentary Films has now released its newest case, The Texas Killing Fields, following the popularity of its prior cases, including The Times Square Killer and The Vanishing at Cecil Hotel.
The gruesome killings of four young girls on a 25-acre tract of land along Calder Road in League City, Texas, will be the topic of Crime Scene’s third season. Joe Berlinger, the executive producer, has previously collaborated with Netflix on projects like Conversations with a Killer. He plans to examine the case file to provide answers to some of these issues. Jessica Dimmock will direct the three episodes, each of which will last 50 minutes.

Following The Times Square Killer and The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel is the 3rd book in the series, The Texas Killing Fields. The latter discussed Elise Lam, a young woman of 21, who went missing and was later found dead. The Texas Killing Fields is a 25-acre region in Texas that has earned its grim reputation after a succession of young women were discovered dead there. This case will be explored in Netflix’s newest docuseries.
Calder Road is a barren stretch of terrain studded by a few oil rigs where three seemingly unrelated females disappeared in the 1980s. A fourth body was found in the same location in 1991. Their killings have gone unsolved for decades.
Tim Miller, the father of one of the missing girls, has refused to stop speaking about his daughter’s murder. He is determined to learn the truth and bring her perpetrator to justice. In the third episode of the miniseries, we learn more about his quest for justice and the team’s discovery of “a pattern of strange links and lost chances around the Calder Road crimes that may, at long last, lead investigators to the truth” that dates back fifty years.
In League City, Texas, several deaths have been discovered on a single plot of property, and while the crimes have gone cold, one dad is determined to find his daughter’s murderer.
