According to the sources, the series creator, Studio Dragon has found good locations to start the shooting. In other words, creators are all set to commence work on crash landing on your season 2. Unfortunately, the global COVID outbreak in South Korea has restricted the shooting schedule. Thus, if they start filming, they need to abide by the government’s new rules. Season 1 premiered in December 2019 and continued till February 16, 2020. “Crash landing on you Season 2” doesn’t have an official release date yet.
While there is no word on a Season 2 of Crash landing on You, CJ ENM, a Korean production company, has stated that an American version of Crash landing on You is in the works.
According to E-daily, Kang Chul-Ku, the CEO of Studio Dragon, the production firm behind Crash Landing on You, stated at a conference on November 4, 2021, that the American remake is in the final phases of planning and development with Netflix U.S.
However, the news of a CLOY remake in the United States elicited conflicting reactions from fans. Some are ecstatic to hear the news, while others fear that the remake would dilute the uniqueness of the original K-drama.
There is no official announcement on its renewal as yet, but rumor has it that the series could come back with a Season 2 in 2022.
