Once Austin Croshere’s collegiate career concluded, he entered the 1997 NBA draught. His former colleague on the USA national basketball team, Tim Duncan, was taken first overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Croshere was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the lottery and became the thirteenth overall pick.

Croshere made his NBA debut in opposition to the Milwaukee Bucks on November 20, 1997. However, he did not chronicle a point in that game. In terms of both points scored and boards grabbed, the 1999–2000 season was superior. Throughout 81 games that season, he posted averages of 10.3 points and 6.4 assists.

He played 61 games during his lone season with Dallas, recording 3.7 PPG and 2.4 APG. A contract between Croshere and Golden States Warrior was finalized later that day, on August 3, 2007. His time with the Warriors ended after the 1999 postseason when he failed to go farther. Croshere contributed an average of 3.9 points and 2.4 dimes per game for the Warriors.


Larry Bird invited Croshere to the Pacers’ preseason training camp in 2008–09, but he was cut before the season began. He officially joined Bucks later on October 27. Even though Croshere averaged 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11 games, he was released on January 6th, 2009.

Unfortunately, Austin signed a 10-day deal with the Spurs on January 16, 2009, and his contract was not renewed. Then, on January 26th, after appearing in just three games and scoring 4 points, Croshere was waived.
