Anuel started his music career when he was in his teens. In February 2016, his mixtape, Real Hasta La Muerte, was released and got many positive reviews from critics. The success of this mixtape landed Anuel in Ozuna’s 2017 album Odisea as a featured guest.
On 17th July 2018, he released his debut album Real Hasta la Muerte. The album was released on the day he was out of prison; he was sentenced to 30 months for illegally possessing three firearms.
