In New Orleans on 24th October, Steve Lacy cut his set short at a concert after a fan threw a disposable camera onstage at him. This incident happened while performing an album’s single, ‘Bad Habit.’
Steve was hit by the object, which reacted him to tell the crowd: “Don’t throw shit on my fucking stage, please!” Further, he walked up to a fan holding a camera phone in front of the crowd and asked them to hand it over before he threw it at the ground.
He also added, “Yeah, that’s it,” before leaving the stage, he shouted, “Peace.” Steve did not return to perform ‘Dark Red’ and ‘C U Girl’ for the encore.
After the incident, Steve addressed his actions in a statement, and NME contacted Steve’s publicist for further comment.
Meanwhile, in December, Steve will release his recent solo album ‘Gemini Rights’ in Europe and the UK.
