Books of Blood is an upcoming anthology movie based on Clive Barker’s works of horror. Clive Barker is a renowned writer and director of 1987’s franchise inspiring movie Hellraiser. The film features Anna Friel (Marcella) alongside Britt Robertson, who starred in the movie For the People. As Mary, Friel stars a beautiful and brilliant psychologist who has gained fame as a skeptic that debunks all theories and beliefs that do not entirely depend on scientific facts. After her seven-year-old succumbs to leukemia, she meets Gavron, who becomes her lover and convinces her that he speaks for her dead son. Roberson plays the role of Jenna. She is a hypersensitive girl suffering from misophonia, a hatred of sound. When she learns that her mother is about to send her back to the Farm, she steals her mother’s money and sets out for Los Angeles.
Rafi Gavron playing as Simon is a young handsome, and charismatic man who convinces Mary that he is a ghost whisperer and speaks for her child who died. Playing as Bennett, Yul Vazquez, a professional killer, gets a clue from his latest hit on a priceless book that may enable him and his wife to retire permanently. While searching for the tome, his quest leads him straight into the supernatural world. Other casts include Andy McQueen, Freda Foh Shen, and Nicholas Campbell.

Hulu announced that the horror film, Books of Blood, will premiere on October 7, 2020, on the streaming platform. Initially, Hulu was developing the production as a TV series but later on decided to make it a movie instead.
