Netflix is yet to provide the exact date for the release, but from our approximations, the series might be released in January. The series production already took place in Gadigal Country in Australia. Netflix has confirmed that the series will be told in eight episodes, each about thirty minutes. Since the series is based on a book of the same name, which is set to be released in 2023, it is only right to assume that it will be released on the same day. According to a report from the Brook Brunch, it is announced that Brigid Delaney’s book series will get published in January 2023 to concede with the release of its series adaptation.

The series’ plot revolve around Liv, the woman with the greatest personality who faces a major health crisis. Upon her diagnosis, Liv is forced to rethink her destiny and how she wants to live her life. At first, she believed in living fast and dying young, but she is not so sure anymore after the diagnosis. She enrolls in a wellness journey while reminding herself that she got this. She decides to try everything possible under the sun to get back to her old life, as impossible as it sounds.
Wellmania Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
The series’ first cast announcement was Celeste Barner as Liv, which came in 2021. The actress has acted in several other series, including the Outback, How Not to Behave, and the Letdown. Upon her announcement as a cast, Que Minh Luu, Netflix Content director, expressed that she is the best fit for the series protagonist based on her love for being Australian and her funny personality. The second wave of the series cast announcement came in 2022, and as per the announcement, JJ Fong will be starring as Liv’s best friend, Genevieve Mooy as Liv’s Mum, and Lachlan Buchanan as Liv’s brother. Other casts include Remy Hii as Gaz Fiancée, Alexander Hodge (Insecure) as Liv’s love interest, Simone Kessell as Helen, Virginie Laverdure, Johnny Carr, Miranda Otto, Leah Vandenberg, and Aden Young.

Unfortunately, the Wellmania series trailer is yet to be released, and currently, we do not know when the trailer will be available. The series filming had, however, wrapped up in early 2022, and if we are lucky enough, we might get to see a trailer of the drama series before we cross over to a new year.
