Parenthood is a rewarding journey, but like any other good thing, it also has challenges that cannot be denied. Many series have delved into the ups and downs of parenthood, including Modern Family, Good Enough, Children Ruin Everything and the 2022 series Trying.
Written by Andy Wolton, the series follows the lives of two parents, Nicki and Jason, a couple who has done everything possible to finally bold a baby into their arms. They, however, struggle with natural conception and even opt for IVF conception and even then, the chances of conceiving a child are not as high.
They soon decide to adopt a child, and with this comes great changes in their lives, which they are not ready to adapt to just because of parenthood. With three seasons already out and premiering on Apple Tv+, here is all you need to know about the show’s fourth season.
Trying Season 4 Release Date: When will it air?
The good thing about the team behind the Trying series production is that they know how not to keep the fans waiting. Just weeks after season three premiered, The production team and the series creators have already confirmed that the show’s fourth season is in the works and will be coming soon.
The renewal comes after the show’s third season was released on 22nd July 2022 and did exceptionally well. Even with three seasons, the show still maintains a 7.9/10 rating on IMDB, and we should expect only the best of the fourth season. If we are to put the season’s release schedule in practice, expect a new season in 2023.
Trying Season 4 Plot: What will happen?
The series follows Jason and Nicki, a couple who has tried to conceive without avail. Not letting their futile attempts stop them, the two decide to opt for adoption, a choice that leads to some major changes in their lives. Season three of the show focused on the couple who had already divorced and moved on to other love interests.
The third season had them spotted with a daughter and son they’re still adapting to taking care of. The biggest question in the third season is whether they can take care of them. So far, we do not know what the show’s fourth season will entail, but it will most probably be a continuation of Jason and Nicki’s parenthood.

The series boasts a steady cast who have been with the show since it premiered. The series protagonist includes Ester Smith and Rafe Spall, who star as Nikki Newman and Jason Ross, the series protagonist. Imelda Staunton stars Penny, Ophelia Lovibond (Minx) as Erica, Oliver Chris, Sian Brookes, Darren Boyd (Killing Eve) and Robyn Cara. The series renewal of the second season will have most, if not all, of them reprising their roles.
