The Last Ship star Travis Van Winkle and main lead of NCIS: New Orleans Shalita Grant has joined the “You” season three cast. They will appear as You sequence regulars opposite Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti in the third season of You.
Netflix series ‘You’ is based on Caroline Keene’s book You and Hidden Bodies and the first season of psychological thriller show created by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti and premiered in 2018.
In the You series’s second installment, Joe Goldberg shifted from New York to Los Angeles to flee his past and begin his new life with a new identity. He wanted to come out of the intense relationship that ended at homicide. In conclusion, he met a woman named Love, and he fell again for Love.
As per Deadline, Van Winkle will appear as Cary, a rich, attractive, and self-produced ‘Master of Self-Optimization’ who handles his personal supplement organization and asks Joe to join his internal circle. Grant will feature as Sherry, a well-known local “Momfluencer” who is calm and down to earth, but she only pretends for her social media followers. In reality, she’s a mean girl; she’s horrified by Love and only fakes to welcome her into her rich and supercilious social circle. But if we ignore her insecurities, there’s a sensible, devoted person who could arise as a true friend.
Both previous seasons cast Badgley and Pedretti will be reprising their roles in the next season. We will see that Berlanti is returning as executive producer with Gamble, who works as a showrunner. We can expect ‘You’ upcoming season to premiere in 2021.
