1. Neelimala View Point

Neelimala viewpoint is located at a distance of 12 km from Sultan Bathery and 27 km from Kalpetta. It is a scenic spot that offers bird’s eye view of the cascading Meenmutty falls and the valleys surrounding it. The route to the Neelimala viewpoint is a good trekking route with manicured coffee plantations on either side of the trail and patches of ginger and Areca nut plantations further ahead.

2. Pookode Lake, Kalpetta

Pookode Lake is located at a distance of  15 kms away from Kalpetta. It is a fresh water lake settled amidst the evergreen forests of Wayanad. An abundance of blue lotus and fresh water fish inhabit the water body, enhancing its glorious beauty. Facilities like boating, well maintained children’s park, aquarium and a handicrafts’ emporium is made available here by the District Tourism Promotion Council.

3. Phantom Rock

Phantom Rock is a rock shaped like a skull with a phantom-like appearance is what is commonly referred to as the Phantom Rock. It is situated at Vaduvanchal which is around 13 km from Kalpetta. Phantom rock is also known as the Cheengeri Mala among the locals. The adventurous can climb up the rock to view the scenic surroundings from this point.

4. Meenmutty waterfalls

Meenmutty waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall with the height of 300 metres is a rare Wayanad tourist place that still remains untouched. It is the  is the 2nd largest in Kerala. Meenmutty in Malayalam literally means the place where fish get blocked and is regarded as the largest waterfall in Wayanad.

5. Bamboo Forests, Muthanga

Muthanga is spread over a huge area filled with bamboo groves, teak forests and swamps. The bamboo groves offer a richness of bio-diversity. Spotted   bison,dear, cheetah, wild bear are some animals you’d spot during your safari here.   Bandipur,   Madumalai , Begur,and Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuaries are nearby and can be easily accessed from here.

 6. Kuruva Island

The most popular tourist spot of Wayanad district is the Kuruva Island. This dense and evergreen forest is uninhabited and hence a home to rare kinds of flora and fauna: uncommon species of birds, orchids and herbs namely. The Kuruva island is surrounded by streams and river can be accessed using rafts or fiber boats. The other thing you can here is to have a calm and lazy nature walk. 7. Chembra Peak

Chembra peak, is near Meppady town. It is noted for its  Wayanad houses the Chembra peak amid the lovely valleys,hills and mountains and adventurous trekking trails. Trekking to the highest of the Chembra peak takes nearly a day. Vacationers can also stay one or two days at the prime of the height in temporary camps. The District Tourism advertising Council presents publications, canvases, dozing baggage, huts and trekking implements on hire.

8. Edakkal Cave

Edakkal Cave is located 3 kilometres from Ambalavayal which is 25 kilometres from Kalpetta. With a length and width of 96ft and 22ft respectively, the cave is a delight to tourists. The cave walls are adorned with intriguing carvings that will take your breath away, and archaeology enthusiasts will love the intricate designs and elements of this creation. One of the stories is that, these Edakkal caves are said to be formed with the arrows fired by Lava and Kusha, the sons of Lord Sri Rama. Another one is associated with Goddess Mudiampilly and tbe Kutti Chathan  . The local people used to have a pilgrimage trip to this place to honour the Goddess.

9. Lakkidi

Lakkidi is one of the highest peaks in Wayanad and receives the 2nd highest rainfall in the whole world. The lofty mountain peaks, the gurging stream, luxuriant vegetation and the bird’s eye view of the deep valley on the south, with its winding roads, are breath taking. Decorated with all these average resources, it’s also one of the crucial richest biodiversity areas in the region and  home to more than a few species of herons as well as rare Indian birds among many other species of flora and fauna.

10. Banasura sagar Dam

Banasura Sagar Dam in Kalpetta is the largest dam in India and is the 2nd largest in all of Asia. The topography here is such that many islands will be formed in the upstream of the dam when the dam is full. These islands with the heritage of the Banasura hill will furnish a hypnotizing sight to tourists.
