Fans anticipate the return of the multi-era family drama; This Is Us. Until now, much about the show has not been revealed. Quite expected is that the extremely relatable series will focus on the real-world issues in its fifth season. In August, Dan Fogelman, the showrunner and creator of the film, tweeted that the show would center on the ongoing pandemic. In 2019, the series received a three-season renewal keeping it on air through season 6. When the series makes a comeback for season 5, viewers will walk along with the Pearson family as they navigate the coronavirus pandemic’s realities.
Production of season five sets to commence later in September with the actors already in possession of the first two episodes scripts. Christy Metz informs fans of the availability of multiple storylines to expect, aside from the pandemic themed arc. Whereas working on her debut album, she was staying in Nashville, where she was quarantining. As stated by Deadline, filming of the series will begin on Thursday, September 24, a tentative date as the cast and crew follow strict COVID-19 safety guidelines.
This Is Us Season 5 Release Date : When will it be out?
The official return of This Is Us will happen on Tuesday, November 10, at 9 p.m. ET with a two-hour debut. Subsequent episodes will run for one hour, starting at 9 p.m. on November 17. This revelation is welcome news for all the viewers eager to reunite with their beloved characters, especially during these unpredictable times.

This Is Us Season 5 Cast : Who will be in?
Most of the previous cast will feature in season five. The characters are eager to pick up their stories following serious sibling drama between Randall, played by Sterling K. Brown, and Kevin, played by Justin Hartley. The latter finds out that he will become a dad after Madison, played by Caitlin Thompson, reveals the pregnancy. Mandy Moore will be playing Pearson matriarch, Rebecca. Reportedly, she is over the moon over her character’s romance role with Miguel. John Huertas, playing Miguel, is the best friend of Jack, Rebecca’s deceased husband. Milo Ventimiglia is playing Jack throughout the show. Chrissy Metz plays the character, Kate.
This Is Us Season 5 Expected Plot : What will Happen?
It has always been Jack and Rebecca, but it will be exciting to witness Miguel and Rebecca together. Earlier in season 4, Rebecca began experiencing the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease and went along with the idea of participating in a medical trial introduced to her by Randall. This decision resulted in a more significant division between Randall and Kevin. Kevin advised Rebecca to do as she pleases- which is spending time with her family and being happy instead of pushing for cures in another city. Amid the brotherly tension, Kevin will struggle with the revelation that he will be a father following a one night stand with Madison. It could be a convenient time for Randall to return into therapy, which Pearson explored deeply in season 4. These stories and more will be featuring in the next season of This Is Us.
