The show follows two brothers, Marty and Rick Lagina, who are on a course to find speculated artifacts and treasures at the Oak Island. It follows the Island’s history, discoveries, theories, and previous attempts to find the legendary treasures and artifacts. Initially from Kingsford, Michigan, the Lagani brothers developed an interest in Oak Island after reading about it on a magazine called Reader’s Digest in 1965.
