They worked tirelessly and finished all scripts by June. The series was well-received by fans and reviewers. Rotten Tomatoes delivered a 50% rating, while Metacritic gave a 57% rating from critics.

Each episode shows how families and friends were forced to cope with the “new normal.” Each episode tells a new story through a virtual camera, showing not the strength of the human spirit in spite of the dread and isolation facing the world. Also, it showcases all the kinds of technology individuals had to use to stay connected during the quarantine period. Conclusively, Social Distance tells the story of how people struggle to keep connected with each other.

Danielle Brooks (Peacemaker) plays a working mom; also present in the show is her mother LaRita Brooks, accompanied by her brother DJ Brooks. For a particular episode, Steven Weber, with his son Jack Hohnen-Weber, Oscar Nunez, and Daphne Rubin-Vega with her husband Tom Costanzo and son Luca Costanzo, all starred in an episode where a family tried reconnecting at a zoom funeral.
