Shar-Li is a tv series based on Charles Dennis Novel of the same name. Charles is a bestselling author who has a fair share in the filming industry, being both a producer and director and even acting in plays such as Barking Mad, The Donkey American, and many others. Charlotte is determined to avenge revenge on his parent’s killers, and when she returns to Shangai, she is set on one thing; find his parents murderers and make them pay with their blood. Will the rage blind her, or will she succeed in finding justice for them?
Shar-Li Season 1 Release Date: When will it be released?
There is no set date for when Shar-Li will be released. News of the production, the filming location, the series directors, and the executive producers are also yet to be made official. Once filming starts, we expect to be briefed on the number of episodes the series will have and the total runtime. If filming begins in 2022, we expect the series to be released this year based on the production team’s preparedness. If it doesn’t feature this year, we could expect a release in 2023.
Shar-Li Season 1 Cast: Who will be appearing?
The series cast is yet to be made official, but it is evident that the story will use good actors from the plot. Charles has been in the film industry for quite a while, and we can say he has the potential to distinguish the actors who will do his series good. Since the series has an infamous pirate, we could expect the pirate of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp to feature in this series as we know how well he acts the pirate’s role. These are only assumptions that are yet to be confirmed.
Shar-Li Season 1 Storyline: What will happen?
We expect the series to closely follow the novel’s plot and maybe add a few twists to it. When Charlotte Stewart, a 15-year-old teenager, discovers that her parents have been murdered in Shanghai, she is out looking for answers. Later, Charlotte gets kidnapped and is sold to the French nuns in Tientsin. Doh-Tzio comes to her rescue and takes her to Ling Fang, an infamous pirate who is also the former prince of Ming. However, Charlotte has to change her identity when Ling announces that he has no use of a female on his ship. She grows up as Shar-Li, a boy, and six years later, Ling and her pirate brother tell her the people behind her parents’ death. At 21, Shar-Li returns to Shanghai to exact revenge on the people who killed her parents in cold blood. Will she succeed, or will she get killed in the process?
Shar-Li Season 1 Trailer: When will it be out?
A trailer or teaser for the Charles Dennis adaptations is yet to be released, and it will be quite a while before we upload a teaser. In the meantime, you can check out some of the new series on Netflix, such as Stay close, Maid, Hellbound, and True Story. For all the animation lovers, Netflix has impressive projects such as Pinocchio, The Sea Beast Escape, and Hat, among others, dropping sometime this year. Encanto, the new Disney animation, is also a fantastic watch.
