Laid is an upcoming comedy series on Peacock that is based on an Australian show of the same name. Created by Nahnatchka Khan (Young Fresh and Fresh off the Boat) and a show run by Sally Bradford McKenna, the series will explore the life of a woman who comes to a sad realization that her past lovers have been dying mysteriously.
The original show aired from 2011 – 2012 on Australia’s ABC1, and it has two seasons and a total of twelve episodes. The original show was written By Marieke Hardy and produced by Liz Watts. It was renewed for a second season, but it never got to the third season as it was canceled the same year the second season premiered. Laid Season 1 Release Date:
The series is still in development by Peacock; therefore, there is limited information on it. We do not know whether the plot has been written, whether filming has started or is underway, and when filming will conclude. We do not even know the filming location of the series, but since it is an Australian show, chances are that it might just be filmed in Australia.
Fierce Baby Productions and All3Media International will produce the shows alongside Jennifer Carreras. Since Peacock gave the order for the series this year, there is a slim chance that it might premiere before the year ends. However, the most realistic deadline for the series release is likely in 2023.

The series plot will follow the same storyline as the Australian version it’s based on. Other changes might be made while writing the series, and in case of any, showrunners will update us. The series’ general storyline is about a market researcher who is shocked when she realizes that all her past lovers have been dying under very mysterious circumstances.
She is worried as this could also mean she is infected or she might be the sole cause for her past loves dying. She has to ask for the help of her best friend, and together they embark on a journey to find answers and maybe stop the cause of what is making the exes die.

The series cast is yet to be released, and we do not know whether the initial series cast will be coming back to reprise their roles. The earlier series consisted of Alison Bell, who played the series protagonist; the ex whose past lovers are dying under mysterious customers. Celia Pacquola played her best friends, Abe Forsythe (Wolf Like Me), Toby Truslove, and Graeme Blundell, as some of her exes. The upcoming series might replace the actresses and bring fresh faces to the team, or some initial actors could reprise their roles.

So far, we do not have any news of the series trailer, and the possible explanation is that the trailer is unavailable now. Peacock will announce the series trailer once they finish production, and you will need to have a subscription to watch the trailer.
