Many changes have been made to the 1970s novel to make it appeal to and be more relatable to ten today’s audience. The novel is set in the 1970s when the protagonist wakes up in the Antebellum South plantain and has to get herself back to the 1970s. The current series, however, revolves around Dana, the 26-year-old television writer who is taken aback when she realizes she has time-traveling abilities. To her, it seems like hours, but in the present, it is only minutes. She continues the back and forth to the past, and her husband worries about her return. In the back and forth, she learns of Rufus, and she will have to decide whether he is worth saving.

Mallori Johnson Stars as Dana, the series protagonist with time-traveling abilities. This is her first lead role after starring as one of the supporting roles in the WeCrashed series. She stars alongside Micah Stock (Right Stuff), ho plays Kevin Franklin, Dana’s husband, who is disturbed when he realizes his wife can whisk into the future. David d Alexander Kaplan from Stranger Things stars as Rufus Weylin, Dana’s young ancestor and one of the main reasons for time travels. Other actors include Ryan Kwanten as Rufus’ Father, Sheria Irving as Olivia, Gayle Rankin, Austin Smith (Random Acts Of Flyness), Branden Jacobs, and many others.
