Whether you love venturing into Zeus’ never-ending urges that he keeps giving into, or you love seeing Hercules at work, there are a lot of TV shows for you to binge on. Netflix has adapted several of them, and the most favorite is Blood of Zeus, a series that delves into the eternal realm and Zeus’ sons, their fights and the battles of succession.
Another series coming on Netflix that will also portray Greek Mythology is the Kaos series. This series promise to deliver the other side of Greek Mythology that is not talked about enough. The show recently received an order by Charlie Corvell, who wrote “The End of the Fucking World,” and fans cannot wait to see the other unknown part that does not get talked about enough. Kaos Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?
Despite knowing the production house behind the series development, Netflix is yet to release a specific premiere date on when we will get to watch the Greek Mythology series. Sister, the production company that produced HBO’s hit Chernobyl, All Media, and Brightstar will be producing the series. The series producer will include; Corvell, Davies, Harry Munday, Nina Lederman, and Kate Carpenter. If the series is produced fast enough, then w you should expect the show’s first season to be out by 2023.
Kaos Season 1 Plot: What will happen?
Despite the announcement in 2020, not much is known of the series plot except that it will be based on Greek mythology. Netflix, however, described the Kaos series as one terrific gender-bending show that will put a twist on the Modern Greek and Roman mythology we know of.
Netflix further explained that the series would explore several themes; Gender, politics, power, life and the underworld. Kaos can also be described as a dark and comic view of the underground world that stops at nothing to describe the Gods‘ way boldly. They also added that nothing is new to the series. There is nothing viewers haven’t seen in other adaptations except for the betrayal and arrogance portrayed by some of the Gods.
Kaos Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
Hugh Grant (The Undoing), the famous American actor, was supposed to star in the series as Zeus but later dropped out due to his tight schedule. As reported by Deadline, he will be replaced by Jeff Goldblum (What If), the Jurassic World actor. According to the cast announcement that was made earlier, Goldblum will portray Zeus, an insecure yet vengeful God who is set on doing anything to protect his fall from grace.
Other casts include David Thewlis (The Sandman) as Hades, Zeus Brother, Janet McTeer as Hera, the queen of the Gods, Nabhan Rizwan as Dionysus, Zeus’s son, and Cliff Curtis as Poseidon. Apart from the four Gods, there are other mortals; Aurora Perrineau (The Prodigal Son) as Riddy, Killian Scott (Secret Invasion) as Orpheus, Misia Butler as Canoes, and Leila Farzad as Ari.
