Korean movies are making a breakthrough in the industry, with the Squid game appearing in the Netflix Chart of most-watched. The same may become of the newly released series based on Yeon Sang-ho webtoon of the same name. Divinity, religion and beliefs about death and life after death have always remained a mystery. Supernatural creatures are only seen in movies, but when supernatural beings start appearing on earth, human beings are torn between believing or imagining their truth.
Hellbound is a series about demonic powers who invade earth, murdering one person for a specific reason. After the people are murdered, their souls are dragged to hell, where they endure eternal misery. Will they be able to repent for their shortcomings? Will they save themselves? It is about to get exciting!
Hellbound Season 2 Release Date: When will it be telecasted?
Netflix approved the supernatural series production in April 2020, then it premiered at the 2021 Toronto International Film festival, making it the first Korean series to premiere. The first season of Hellbound premiered on November 19th, 2021, on Netflix. It has six episodes, each with a run time of 50 minutes each. The official announcement of the series’ second season is not yet out. With a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb, the series may be renewed much to fans’ excitement. If the series gets greenlit, we could expect it to premiere sometime in 2022 or early 2023.
During its Tudum event, Netflix announced that the Korean dark fantasy series would be renewed for season 2.
Hellbound Season 2 Cast: Who will be the part of it?
If Hellbound gets renewed for the second season, we expect most of the characters reprising to their roles. The award-winning actor Yoo Ah-in plays Jeoeng Jin-soo. He is the cult leader of “New Truth Society. “The attorney Kim Hyun-Joo plays Min Hye-jin. Park Jeong-,, min plays Bae Toung-Jae (the broadcasting station PD), Won Jin-ah plays Song so-Hyun (Bae Young-Jaes wife), and Yang Ik-June plays Jin Kyeong -hoon( the detective). We also expect to see some of the supporting casts; Kim Shin-rok as Park Jeong Ja, Ryu Kyung-Soo as Yoo Jii, the cult priest, Lee Ree as Jin Hee-Jeong (Kyeong-hoons daughter), and Im Hyeong Guk as Gong Hyeong ( the sociology professor)
Hellbound Season 2 Plot: What will happen next?
The last episode of Hellbound had Sohyun asking Deacon Yuji if her baby deserved the tragic fate. After this, the society meets and decides that she be separated from her and may it be a secret that even the righteous can be hellbound. In the second series, we could expect more people to survive the gods’ decree just like the baby did. We could expect Park Jeong-JA to explain what happens when one dies, considering he died and returned to life again. We could also expect society to have changed its views regarding death and visits from the demons. Season one ending in such a twist would confirm the question, “are angels really angels. “The second season could also answer if hell exists or the victims go somewhere different than hell.
Hellbound Season 2 Trailer: When will it be out?
