The best-selling author George RR Martin is making a stage show of Game of Thrones for Broadway, the West End, and Australia. This play will bring back notable characters for the creation based on the fantasy book series ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ and the blockbuster HBO show.
It depends on the Great Tourney at Harrenhal, a contest that occurred 16 years before the Game of Thrones events. The Great Tourney was held for more than ten days and was regarded as the biggest tournament in Westeros’ history, with competitions of archery, jousting, and others.
The unnamed drama is the making of producers Simon Painter and Tim Lawson along with Kilburn Live. The story is composed by Martin, who is presenting with award-winning screenwriter Duncan MacMillan and acclaimed director Dominic Cooke. Their objective is to make a big appearance in New York City, the West End of London, and Australia. It is anticipated to premiere in 2023.

The play’s official report “The play will for the first time take audiences deeper behind the scenes of a landmark event that previously was shrouded in mystery.”
This creation has a unique storyline, which should be a massive attraction for fans. After the conclusion of the 2019 Game of Thrones, several prequel projects of Game of Thrones have been under development. There’s a hope that it reverts to many of the most beloved Game of Thrones characters.
Which Characters Will Appear In The Play?
The play’s official statement about characters, “Featuring many of the most iconic and well-known characters from the series, the production will boast a story centered around love, vengeance, madness and the dangers of dealing in prophecy, in the process revealing secrets and lies that have only been hinted at until now.”
For the stage show, characters haven’t yet been officially announced. But as per Martin’s past books, contest participants are a young and shy Ned Stark, his defiant sister Lyanna, Jaime Lannister, strong Lord Robert Baratheon, Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, smart Prince Oberyn Martell, and many others. You can keep in your mind that Martin’s Westeros tale is different from the HBO series. The other characters feature Cersei Lannister, Tywin Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Littlefinger, and Varys. The series young characters are Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and Arya Stark. After the event, Prince Rhaegar confessed his love for Robert’s betrothed.
