Recently, Toei Animation confirmed that a Dragon Ball Super movie be aired in 2022.
The movie was supposed to be released on April 22, however, it has been delayed due to the recent hacking incident on Toei Animation.
According to unofficial sources on Twitter, The Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Episode 1 will premiere in April 2023, following the release of the DBS hero film. The second season will be a little shorter than the first, with DBS S2 consisting of roughly 60 episodes. Yet there is no official confirmation. We will update you first if it goes.
Executive producer Akio Iyoku talked about the release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in the recent edition of Weekly Dragon Ball News on the official Dragon Ball website to hype up one of the most widely awaited anime films of 2022. Iyoku also teased that there’s a “possibility” that “something other than the movie” will be released this year.
“I’m now working hard to finalize everything on the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, which has been confirmed for release on April 22nd in Japan!” remarked Iyoku. “I believe the film is fantastic, particularly the animation. Akira Toriyama, the creator of the series, is ecstatic! Because this is a brand-new animation, please bear with us while we finish it.” “There’s also a chance that something other than the movie will be coming this year as well, so let’s make this year another amazing year for Dragon Ball together!” he concluded.
