The recently ordered show Cannes Confidential will be based in the charming city and will be a crime show exploring the injustices in the police department. Catherin Mackin, Acorn’s managing director, commented that with the excellently written script and the beautiful scenery at the Cannes, the upcoming series is all the entertainment the Acorn subscribers need.
Cannes Confidential Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?
We are yet to receive the specific date of when we should expect the Cannes Confidential series to be released. The series filming started in Cannes in May this year as the crime story is set in the d’Azur, and it is the first time in decades a series is getting established in d’Azur. AMC, Acorn, Skyverse, and French Broadcasters are the studio behind the series production, and they are also responsible for bringing the six-part crime show to our screens.
Cannes Confidential Season 1 Plot: What’s going to happen in?
The Canes Confidential series explores the story of a female cop and an ex-con man. Despite their differences, they are forced to work together to solve a murder case. The crime-fighting partnership leads the two to a close-ended episode. They will have to put their differences aside and work together to solve one of the most challenging cases in the department’s history.
The drama, however, focuses mainly on the female cop who is more than determined to find the criminals who framed her dad. Her father was once the local hero police officer but got apprehended and jailed for a crime he did not commit.
Cannes Confidential Season 1 Cast: Who will be appearing in?
The series will blend those crime and romantic themes and feature exciting characters, including Lucie Lucas, the French Tv actor. Lucas has featured in a couple of shows, including Gloria. She will be cast alongside Jamie Bamber (Signora Volpe) and Tamara Marthe; the singer Camille Delamarre famous is expected to direct all the show’s episodes.
The series was written by Chris Murray, who is also likely to produce the Cannes series executively. This is not the first time Murray is working with Acorn Tv, as he is also penned the Midsomer Murders crime show on Acorn and Agatha Raisin. He will be co-writing with Maria Ward, and the Cannes sere is the first English drama to be produced in the Cote d’Azur, after The Persuaders drama released in the 1970s.
Cannes Confidential Season 1 Trailer: When will it be out?
Cannes confidential series trailer is yet to be released, and at the moment, we do not know when it will be available. The series filming, however, started a while back, and this could mean that we may have the trailer before the year comes to an end. If filming and production go as planned, then you should expect the crime drama to be released before mid-2023.
