Just days after producers of Emily in Paris confirmed Camille Razat’s exit from the hit Netflix series, the French actress addressed her departure from the show. Razat, who portrayed Emily’s (Lily Collins) frenemy Camille, will not return for Season 5 alongside co-stars Lucas Bravo and Ashley Park.
In an Instagram post on April 23, Razat shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos with castmates, captioning it, “After an extraordinary chapter, I’ve chosen to close the door on Emily in Paris for now. This journey gifted me boundless growth, artistry, and moments I’ll treasure forever.”
The 31-year-old actress expressed appreciation for Netflix, Paramount, and creator Darren Star, stating they “entrusted me to breathe life into Camille” while hinting the character’s future in the show’s universe remains possible. Though Star previously teased Camille’s Season 4 absence was temporary, Razat is now channeling her energy into Tazar, her burgeoning production company.
Razat’s New Chapter with Tazar Productions
Razat elaborated on her production company’s current projects, sharing, “Tazar is currently focused on music videos and short films, but we’re shifting toward our debut feature film—a creative milestone I’m deeply invested in and eager to expand.”
In her farewell message, she extended heartfelt gratitude to colleagues and fans alike, writing, “I step away with immense gratitude and deep affection for everyone involved in this journey.”
Lily Collins, despite their characters’ on-screen rivalry, publicly celebrated Razat’s departure with warmth. Commenting on the post, Collins praised, “Sending love, sis! This adventure has been incredible, and working with you was a joy. You’re a powerhouse, and I’m rooting for your next chapter!”
Co-Stars Rally Behind Camille Razat’s Exit
Ashley Park (Mindy Chen) and her real-life partner Paul Forman (Nicolas de Leon) joined the chorus of support for Razat’s departure. Park commented, “Forever inspired by you,” while Forman praised her portrayal in French, writing, “You infused Camille with such nuance and grace! Can’t wait to witness Tazar Productions’ next ventures—cheers to new beginnings!”
While Razat’s return to the series remains uncertain, fans must wait until Emily in Paris Season 5 premieres in 2025 for their next Parisian fix.
