The Netflix comedy-action animated show “Boons and Curses,” which was set to debut in 2023, has been abruptly canceled. Maker and executive producer Jaydeep Hasrajani, co-executive producer Jake Goldman, and their team were left disappointed after the show was canceled, a major decision by Netflix following their latest announcement that they had lost 200,000 subscribers in the first quarter.
“Boons and Curses” was not the only animated feature canceled by Netflix; the company also canceled Jeff King’s “Dino Daycare” and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s animated show, “Pearl.”
Boons and Curses Season 1 Release Date: When will it air?
On May 20th, 2021, Netflix made the official communication that they had given the go-ahead to three Asian animation projects and Boons and Curses was among the list. Jane Lee, Netflix Animation Manager, commented that she has always dreamt of seeing cartoons with the same faces as hers while growing up. Her long-time dream is finally coming true with the animation series that is set to premiere in 2023. The specific release date of the animation series is yet to be communicated, but we expect it to be in early 2023. With an Asian setting, this series is one to be on the lookout for.

Boons and Curses Season 1 Plot: What will happen next?
The story plot revolves around the mythical land of Maya. There is a looming war threatening to wipe out its inhabitants. Raj, a self-centered evil creature, together with his army, threatens to kill and destroy whoever is not in their support, a life or death ultimatum. Since desperate time calls for desperate measure, the people of Maya have to put all their trust in the ghee like warrior Baan. Wouldnāt he melt when exposed to sunlight for long? Baan is not willing to let this stop him since he has to save his people from the monstrous army. Getting Rani the Thief as an ally, Baan is determined to arrow down Raj irrespective of how many tries it will take.
Boons and Curses Season 1 Cast: Who will be in?
Official communication of who will feature in this animation is yet to be communicated. We can, however, expect casts with both an Asian and American bloodline to feature in the animation. Just like the creator and the executive producer Jaydep Hasrajani, we could expect him to feature voice-over artists of the same Racial orientation or maybe just Asians. A list of all the possible casts is; Jimmy O Yang, famous for his role as the Catfish in the movieā Love Hard.” We could also see Bowen Yang, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Jo Koy, Ron Yuan, Hoon Lee, Stephanie Hsu, Andrew Pang, Andrew Kishino, Jodie Long, James Sie, and BD Wong.
