The Days Season 1Plot: What Is It About?
The plot summary for The Days goes as follows: It’s a 7-day depiction of the 2011 accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Considering it from the vantage points of the government, corporations, and the individuals who risk their lives. It will get quite close to the truth of what occurred on that date and in that location. The Fukushima Nuclear Disaster occurred on March 11, 2011, in Kuma, Fukushima, Japan. The Tohoku earthquake and subsequent tsunami triggered the occurrence.
The Tohoku region of Japan was jolted by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake on the afternoon of March 11th, 2011. The epicenter was located just 45 miles east of the shore. The earthquake caused a devastating tsunami that pounded the coast of Japan with waves as high as 14 meters.
These 14-meter waves crashed past the power plant’s artificial defenses, causing extensive destruction. The emergency generators failed after units 1-4 in the reactor buildings’ basements were flooded, resulting in a power outage. Because of the blackout, the pumps that cooled the nuclear cores were ineffective.
With no way to keep the reactors cool, three of the four units experienced nuclear meltdowns, resulting in three hydrogen explosions and startlingly high levels of radioactive pollution.
The Japanese authorities increased the evacuation radius to 12 miles because of the radiation emitted into the air. Furthermore, an unprecedented quantity of radioactive isotopes was discharged into the Pacific Ocean, which will have an enormous and devastating effect on the world’s largest ocean in the long run.
Hence, this is all our information for Season 1 of The Days. Additionally, keep checking back for more information.
