The John Wick series has been running for almost eight years, and it may be time to include a female hero. ABC, the famous streaming platform, has teamed up with Derek Kolstad (Splinter Cell), the John Wick franchise creator, to develop an action series that will star a female protagonist. Katie Stone and Davie Daitch will write the series, exploring the story of a young woman who finds herself a valuable asset to the CIA team. The series announcement came in late 2021, but we are still determining whether the series is still in development. Here is everything we know about the upcoming show.
Candygram Season 1 Release Date: When will it premiere?
Unfortunately, we have yet to determine when the Candygram series will be released and how soon. The series announcement came in 2021, and we have yet to hear news on the series’ development status. The show debuting this year is, however, out of the question, and the earliest you should expect the show’s premiere is by 2023. If the series does not premiere by 2023, expect it to be in 2024.
Candygram Season 1 Plot: What will happen?
The Candygram series revolves around a local who realizes she might be an asset to the CIA team. When the CIA sets up a workshop in her town, the street-smart lady soon realizes that she might own skills that greatly help the CIA in their investigations. However, the collaboration takes more work than she thinks it does. She has very unconventional methods of arriving at solutions, and despite most of them being law-breaking, the CIA will have to compromise or stand to lose an asset. Since the CIA has a lot to lose and more to gain by working with the local woman, they will have to strike an agreement.
Candygram Season 1 Cast: Who will appear?
Unfortunately, the cast featured in the upcoming Candygram series has yet to be updated. The creator of the series is looking to create a female protagonist version of John Wick; therefore, we expect they will feature a female cast that has acted in action movies before. Katie J. Stone and David Daitch will write the upcoming show and act as the series’ executive producers. The two have other writing credits, including the Shooter series. Derek Kolstad, famous for creating the John Wick series, will also be developing the series. Kolstad will also executive produce the series alongside Rebelle Media and the 20th Television studios.
Candygram Season 1 Trailer: When can we watch it?
Unfortunately, a trailer for the Candygram series is yet to be released, and we do not know how soon the trailer will be coming to our screens. Since the series’ announcement back in 2021, there has been little to no information on its development; therefore, predicting when a trailer or teaser will be available is impossible. If Candygram series filming is already in progress, you should expect the trailer to be released by 2023. If not, it might get released in 2024 or even later, depending on the creator’s preparedness.
