As reported by Deadline, Peacock’s Show is developing an hour-half comedy that will highlight the lives of three Black friends on their breakthrough to opening up a dispensary in Harlem. With their city slowly evolving from a poor background into the Rich Neighborhood, They set to look for the change their city deserves while also giving those shunned by society a new and second chance.
The Insecure and Kimmy Schmidt creator Grace Edwards created the series, and she will also serve as the executive producer of the upcoming show. So far, Peacock has yet to update us on when the series will premiere. It recently gave the order for the series development and considering the timeline, and the writing credits are still in progress. The show will be produced by the series creator, Fey, the owner of the Little Stranger Production company that will be producing the project.
The number of episodes the black drama will have is yet to be revealed, as the series run time. Since the show’s network is Peacock, we expect to be given detailed information before the filming of the show begins. In the meantime, expect to see the show’s first season in 2023.

The series plot follows the story of three Black Friends on the journey to turn around their once poverty-stricken neighborhood. The three friends collaborate on opening a cannabis dispensary in one of the hoods, which is slowly getting urbanized by the day. The three decide to hire the neighbors who had previously been incarcerated by giving them employment and a second chance to turn their lives around.

Peacock is yet to announce the series cast apart from the show’s creators, the directors and the executive producers. The show’s creator Grace Edwards has created and produced several series, including the critically acclaimed HBO series, Insecure. She is currently also working as the writer of Survival for The Thickest, Netflix’s upcoming series.
Her other writing credits include Kevin Can Fuck Himself, Dollface (Hulu) and Loosely Exactly Nicole (MTV). She has also acted in several series including Insecure and Inside Army Schumer. Edwards will produce alongside Fey, the executive producer for another Peacocks show named Girls5Eva. She will be joined by other executive producers; Eric Gurian, David Miner and Olivia Gerke.
