The latest monster flick in Hollywood as of now is the movie coming from the stables of Legendary Pictures. Netflix had made a $200 million offer for the high-profile film. However, Warner media has blocked Netflix’s bid, thereby bringing the movie to its streaming service HBO Max. Although Legendary Pictures has not yet been confirmed, Warner’s CEO explained that the movie would be released as planned on HBO Max. The film is an adaptation and crossover from two separate movies, that is Godzilla by Toho and King Kong by Edgar Wallace and Meiran Cooper.
Godzilla vs. Kong plot was written by Terry Rosio, Jack Shields, and Michael Dougherty, the screenplay was adapted by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, while it was directed by Adam Wingard. This movie will be the 36th movie in the Godzilla franchise while also being the 12th movie in the King Kong movie franchise.
Godzilla vs. Kong Release Date: When will it air?
The movie Godzilla vs. Kong has been released on March 31, 2021, at both theaters and on HBO Max concurrently. This is part of the Warner Bros’ bold and fancy rollout plan for the totality of its movies next year.
Godzilla vs. Kong Cast: Who will be in?
The movie mostly feature new cast members, they are:
- The lead star is Alexander Skaarsgard (The Stand Season 1), who stars as a geologist who has a connection with Kong.
- Bryan Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Shun Oguri(No Longer Human), Rebecca Hall (The Night House).
- Cast members from the previous Godzilla: King of the Monsters are also included:
- Milly Bobby Brown plays the role of Madison Russell; she embarks on a journey to decide the winner of the clash between Kong and Godzilla. The Midnight Sky Actor Kyle Chandler plays the role of Dr. Mark Russell, an anthrozoologist and Madison’s Father.
Godzilla vs. Kong Plot: What will Happen?
We are not privy to a lot of information concerning the plot of the upcoming movie. Certainly, we know it is going to be a clash between the two monsters; to what extent is what we cannot fully answer. However, we can fairly guess that there will be some gore since the movie has been delineated a PG-13 rating. Why the two monsters will be at odds, we can’t say, but we can reliably confirm that the fight between the two will have a winner. There is a leak that Godzilla will have a robotic partner called Mechagodzilla.
For the human aspect of the movie, the company Monarch will investigate the origins of these monsters and look for ways to exterminate them.
